Sharon Jones is one of the most dynamic performers I’ve ever seen. Her incredibly soulful voice and magnetic personality SHINE on stage. Her latest album with the Dap-Kings, Give The People What They Want, was slated to be released in August, but that was put on hold when Jones was diagnosed with cancer. She underwent surgery and months of treatment and ultimately won her battle! She’s set to release the new album in January and embark on a full North American tour with her band in February.
This single has all of the soul and spark that I’d expect from Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, and the music video is brilliant! Creative, entertaining and beautifully done:
